In Memory of my sister Terra
I lost my sister to suicide in August of 2022.
When I got the call from my dad that Saturday night in August that my sister was in the ICU on life support, I knew she would not be coming back. My wife and I drove up to upstate New York to go see her in the hospital and be with my family. When my wife and I got up to her hospital room, I could see she was hooked up to a ventilator and in a coma. I felt a big pit in my stomach. I held her hand and tried to connect with her consciousness. When I felt the connection with her, she to-ld me “I’m not in agony anymore. Life was hard.” I knew then that she was no longer in any emotional or physical pain. She left behind 2 daughters and a son. The oldest daughter currently enrolled in a demanding nursing program, the middle daughter in her junior year of college and enlisted into the ROTC air force program. Her son was starting his senior year of high school.
During the week that I was in upstate NY with family, I felt my sister around all of the time. I was able to share this with my two nieces, because they were aware of and comfortable with my psychic mediumship awareness. I was able to help them recognize the signs of my sister being around. My sister came through as a butterfly for her oldest daughter, a hummingbird for her younger daughter and a dragonfly for me. My sister’s soul consciousness was showing up before she had been taken off life support! My sister also happened to be an organ donor. I’m sure with her donation she was able to bless other families.
I created a Facebook group called “Survivors after Suicide” as way to help myself and my family cope with the loss of Terra. My hope is that this Facebook community will expand beyond my family to offer others support.
Born out of a tragedy of a mom losing her son to suicide, Ben Speaks was born.
